“Let’s fly to outer space.” “No, let’s dance like a bird.” “I want to play in the park”.
Have you heard this lately from your little ones?
Kids are full of imagination and a spark for life that grown ups tend to leave behind when they realise they have to be just that – grown ups!
Imagine if you could go back – back to the time when you were a child. The time when all you knew was how to have fun, laugh and be carefree. Would you do it?
As grown ups we know that’s not actually going to happen – damn it! But what if you could reclaim that feeling for say 30 minutes. 30 minutes of not caring about the washing, the cooking or where you have to be next. 30 minutes that you spend with your child in an environment which allows to both to connect and be not-so-grown-up.
We have the answer…
En Pointe Dance Academy in Caringbah is introducing “Grown up and me” classes. This 30min class has been designed for baby ballerina’s 2 -3 years and their favourite grown up. Whether it’s flying in outer space, going to the circus, playing in the park, dancing like the animals in the zoo, or growing a magical garden, your child will be captivated when they attend a class. We think the grown-up will be too.
The benefits of classes like these go way beyond the normal chit chat of “great for co-ordination, improves socialisation” etc etc. We have all heard that type of pitch. What you don’t often see is the chance to engage your child in a class-type environment. Grown up and child – connecting. We love that.
